I See It In The Distance
Life often feels like navigating through fog.
We sense that there’s something ahead of us; a dream, a promise, or a purpose.
But it’s not entirely clear.
1 Corinthians 13:12 reminds us that what we see now is only partial.
God’s bigger picture often lies just beyond the horizon, and the invitation is to trust Him as we move forward in faith.
Scripture Insight: 1 Corinthians 13:12
“For now, we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” – 1 Corinthians 13:12
Reflective Questions
What are you trusting God for that you can only see dimly right now?
Maybe it’s clarity about a career move, healing in a relationship, or growth in your spiritual life.
Write down the things you’re hoping for and bring them to God in prayer, trusting that He sees the full picture even when you don’t.
How can you walk by faith while you wait for what’s ahead?
Walking by faith often looks like continuing to pray, worship, and take small, obedient steps, even when you’re unsure where they will lead.
For example, if you’re waiting for God’s direction in a big decision, what’s one small, practical step you can take to honor Him today?
What past experiences remind you that God is trustworthy?
Think back to times when you faced uncertainty, yet God showed up in unexpected ways.
Those moments are reminders that even if you can’t see the whole road now, He is faithful to guide you.
Devotional Thought
Imagine standing on a mountaintop just before sunrise.
You know the light is coming, but for now, the world is still cloaked in shadow.
Life often feels like that—holding onto the hope that God’s promises will break through the darkness.
This verse encourages us to focus not on what we can see with our limited perspective but on the One who holds the view of eternity.
When we feel the weight of the unknown, we can trust that God sees the end from the beginning.
He is not limited by our uncertainties. Like a sunrise in the distance, His promises will unfold in His perfect timing.
Prayer
Lord,
You see the full picture when I only see part of the story.
When I feel overwhelmed by what I don’t understand, help me to trust You.
Remind me that Your plans are good, even when I can only see them in the distance.
Give me strength to keep walking in faith, trusting that You are guiding me every step of the way.
Thank You for being the light in my life and the One who holds my future.
Amen.
